Conclusion and Next Steps
Welcome to the last lesson in my 10-part Introduction to Intelligent Communication series. If this is your first exposure to this series, go to part 1 here and begin the course from the start.
If you have completed each of the 10 lessons, you have accomplished a great deal over these past several weeks. I trust that this course has been helpful to you and you already see improvement in your communication. You will continue to improve so long as you continue to practice the skills and procedures you learned throughout this course.
It has been my pleasure to share with you the Intelligent Communication approach to better communication. I continue to have a passion to share this information with as many people as I can, because I know it can help people improve their relationships with others…both in their personal and professional lives. This is why I am developing online training courses. It was this approach that helped me, a very introverted young man, become a successful military intelligence officer. It is my sincerest hope that you find success using this information.
Next Steps
Communication is just one of those areas where we should always be looking to improve. So what are your next steps to becoming an even better communicator?
Continue to practice Intelligent Communication. It will eventually become a habit.
Review your progress. Take time after important interactions to review how well you did. Go step by step through the Intelligent Communication model and evaluate what parts you did well and what parts you need to work on.
Work with others. Share this 10-part series with friends and colleagues and help each other become better communicators. Send them to this link, so they can sign up and receive it just like you did. If you supervise a team, have them do the course and use the model as a guide to evaluate and help them improve their communication skills.
Determine which of those skills you identified in the last lesson you will begin to learn or improve first. I may be able to help you with that process. I have offered seminar courses in many of those skills. As I mentioned previously, I am in the process of converting many of these training programs into online courses.
Again, it has been my pleasure to share Intelligent Communication with you. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the future. If I can be of assistance to you feel free to contact me directly.
Be quick to hear and slow to speak,
rjm
